I recommend you try a few molecules and not only draw their Lewis structures on paper but practice drawing them with the software. Convert the molecule to 3D and just visualize it. Here are few molecules I suggest you draw: PCl3, PCl5, CCl4, CO2, SO2, and SF4. Then try a few organic molecules such as CH3CH2CH3, C6H14, and C3H6, remembering that the carbons are all connected together for our Gen Chem course.
